In April, we want you to forget about the crisis, dark thoughts and grey skies.

This festival is called Printemps (spring) because it brings colors and life back each year.

And this year, colors and life are particularly present!

During six days, the festival radiates all over Bourges: 130 artists and bands in eight venues, around a hundred artists on four free outdoor stages located from Auron shores to the place Séraucourt, more than two hundred artists in twenty-five bars in Bourges participating in Printemps Dans la Ville… Is it as usual?

Of course it is but with a lot of brand new stuffs, such as the metamorphosis of good old Phenix into W, a new tent with equivalent capacity.

Printemps de Bourges Revelations have become this year Les iNOUïS - 3900 bands and artists being listened to, examined, and assessed by Réseau Printemps and its unique network of regional branches all over France. Thirty-four bands among the 3900 will introduce themselves to the public and professionals from Wednesday to Saturday in the two 22 venues, hoping they will share the same destiny as Ez3kiel, Concrete Knives, Juveniles, Mesparrow and Odezenne who have been Revelations before being added to Printemps de Bourges line-up in 2013.

We already know that some pages of history are about to be written this year in Bourges such as the acoustic live performance of Patti Smith at the Cathedral - don't say you haven't been told to purchase tickets in advance. And this year, Printemps will be very marked by Canada with a dozen artists coming from the big bilingual American laboratory - Ariane Moffatt, Marie-Pierre Arthur, Melissa Laveaux, Half Moon Run, The Luyas, Rich Aucoin, Mac DeMarco, A-Trak, Salomé Leclerc, Zeds Dead… Besides, all choices made by Printemps de Bourges 2013's team highlight the double pleasure of clearing and celebrating beautiful adventures in the present moment - this is what journalists call « an impressive and balanced programming ».

On Saturday night, the Rock'n'Beat Party huge double-stage at W and Palais d'Auron is in fact symptomatic, with its avalanche of stars, famous names and artists exploring contrasts - The Vaccines, !!!, Breakbot Live feat. Irfane, Vitalic VTLZR, Rubin Steiner, A-Trak, Boys Noize, Rone, Aufgang, Team Ghost, SKIP&DIE, Joris Delacroix and Zeds Dead.

If we zap through the programming: -M-, Sexion d'Assaut, Mika, Benjamin Biolay, Public Enemy, Steel Pulse, C2C, Alpha Blondy, Keny Arkana, 1995, Féfé, Alexis HK, Oxmo Puccino, Lou Doillon, and La Rue Kétanou can be seen. As well as new names rushing at 22 venues, afternoon concerts at Salon d'Honneur venue with Bertrand Belin, Barcella or Peter Von Poehl, and beautiful end of the day at Auditorium venue…

And this year, the creation taking place at Théâtre Jacques Coeur is entitled L'Ensemble Echoes: leading an audacious classical instrumentalist quartet, the cellist Gaspar Claus is joined by different guests each night to mix repertoires and explore possible common lands - the singer Barbara Carlotti, the rapper Youssoupha, and the pop songwriter Rover… Is that huge enough? It is indeed.

By the way 2013 Printemps had no choice but to overflow on Saturday afternoon with a big concert at W with Disiz and Sexion d'Assaut.

Have a nice Printemps!
